Best hypnobirthing & pregnancy podcasts to add to your list

If you're pregnant, one of the best things you can do is immerse yourself in this world, level up your knowledge and feel more connected to your pregnancy and baby. Podcasts are an amazing way to do this, so here are my favourites.

The Great Birth Rebellion by Midwife Mel

Everyone can have a GREAT pregnancy, birth & postpartum experience if you have the right information and strategies to make it happen. That's Dr Melanie Jackson's core belief. Mel is a clinical & research midwife with a PhD. There isn't much she doesn't know about pregnancy and birth and in this honest podcast, she simplifies complicated ideas to help you to build knowledge and feel more confident advocating for your own birth preferences.

Down to Birth by Cynthia Overgard & Trisha Ludwig

Down to Birth challenges the status quo and explores women's rights in childbirth. Real birth stories, expert interviews and a monthly Q&A. The whole premise is that a healthy mum and baby isn't all that matters, and that resonates with me deeply.

Down to Birth is hosted by Cynthia Overgard and Trisha Ludwig, with 40 years of combined experience in midwifery, childbirth education, advocacy and postpartum care, this is a must listen.

The Midwives' Cauldron by Katie James & Dr Rachel Reid

The Midwives' Cauldron covers midwifery, birth, lactation and womanhood. Hosted by Katie James and Dr Rachel Reed, they have the kind of conversations that feel like women gathering together to share knowledge and strengthen each other. Deep, thoughtful and often the kind of episode you need to listen to twice.

Birthful by Adriana Lozada

This podcast will help you distill the overload of pregnancy information down to the most relevant and useful stuff. Working doula and former journalist Adriana Lozada talk pregnancy, birth and postpartum with top experts and new parents, Over 300 episodes and still going. One of the most comprehensive archives of birth knowledge out there.

The Pop That Mumma Podcast by Poppy Child

I'm obviously biased, but I started this podcast because I felt there was a gap. Most birth content either terrifies you or pretends birth is easy. I wanted something in the middle - honest, grounded and genuinely useful. We cover everything from fear and pain science to birth partner prep, postpartum identity and the nervous system. If you want to feel genuinely ready for birth, start here and then come and find Birth Box.

Happy listening. And if anything you hear makes you want to go deeper into your own birth preparation, you know where to find us. Birth Box is the next step.
